Subs turning off

I have 3 kicker cvr 12's, Igot them from a guy who had them hooked to a Hifonics brutus, I have them on a Power Acoustik 1600w Sapphire Series......i have done the big3 and have a 1.25 Farad Cap,When i turn it up the subs cut in and out ,then neon and stuff stays on the amp,but a little red light comes on from between 1 to 10 secs........ Anyone know what to do???? Any help Appreciated.

check the grounds, make sure all connections are tight

Ive gone over all the connections several times, its buggin the hell outaa me lol, i drive by or try to compete with buddies and itll shutoff,could it have anything to do with the wiring in ohms,the guy said they are wired to 2.67 ohms,is that ok for the amp?

check the grounds, make sure all connections are tight

x2 check to make sure your ground is good, maybe try grounding it somewhere else.

Find the tech specs for your amp and see if its capable of running under 4 ohms mono.

How long will the subs play before they cut out? If they always play for awhile and then cut out, your amp may be overheating. I had an amp under installed under the seat of my Toyota pickup and it would sometimes overheat in the summer due to being in such a confined location (and lack of AC).
