Subs touching seats?

Is it harmful to my subs for them to be slightly touching the backs of my seats in a regular cab 04 Silverado? Also, how should I break in my subs?

well, is the cone hitting or the magnet? either way, i see it as bad.

if its the cone.. Its almost the same as playing it, and trying to hold the cone down with your hands.

I really dont see how you could hurt the magnet.

I assume you're talking about the cone right?

Its the rubber ring around the front, the subs are CVR 12s, it is just slightly touching I mean slightly touching.

yes...even the slightest bit can cause problems. It might not ruin it, but its not good.

If it's touching it with no music it's going to be slamming it with music in it, also I think you won't get the normal amount of volume out of them because of a lack of air that they can push.

ive seen plenty off people have there subs up against the seats... sometimes give a sort of muffled sound.. it wont cause much damage but will sound better if they have more space.
