Ummmm an 05 XXX is hard to beat with the SQ and SPL it produces, My buddy has a stock 05 XXX with an Audiobahn A2200HCT (1600 rms) doin a 149 on the new TL in a 5.0 box@ 38hz. And no it doesnt take much for a stock XXX to get movin, free air it and 600 watts will get it to move, in his ported box it reaches full xmax with 1000 watts. So again depends all on setup. Now I have a XXX 15" but its not stock...quad stiff spiders, dang near 3500 rms to get it to reach full xmax...any takers with the L7s sayin theyd wamp a XXX wanna run???? Didnt think so...again all on setup. My stock 12" XXX walked all over my buddies 06' 12" L7 with a 1000/1 on it, and i had 1500 rms on mine. And on some songs the L7 sounded muddy with the lows. The SI Mags are good sub, IDMAX V3 are good subs, Brahmas are dang good subs.
