Subs subs and subs...Did I mention subs?

Alright well all info on those 3 will be the most help anyone can do unless your absolutely convinced a different sub shiznits on all 3 of those //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Ok Im thinkin VVX vs SSA XCON vs TREO SSX
Which one should I get and what size would sound the best?(Some 12's sound better then 15s etc) I really like what I saw on the vvx and treo ssx but all 3 got me tied
The VVX won't get nearly as loud as the other 2, but by no means is it a slouch. It's more affordable than the other 2 obviously. Keep the SSA Xcon in the race as well. Like I said, SSA customer service is top notch, you'll never hear anything negative about their customer service. And their products are made according to order. Treo SSX will get a little louder than the Xcon, but it's a lot more expensive. Also, they've been rumored to be going out of business, but those rumors have been going on for more than a year.

I hope you looked at Fi Q subs. Those are sick and a lot of people like the extra options available for them. If you get a a TC 3HP, you will be more than happy.

I looked at Fi Q then I went to youtube and they werent pounding at all but ill look around more But how much are we talkin with the Treo SSX and what size would be the best

EDIT: Nevermind I lied the Fi Q did pound hard but what are these features your talkin about?

LoL. Well you gotta remember, some of those guys on youtube are powering subs with weak amps. Not only Fi subs, but other subs also. As far as the Treo SSX, I'm unsure on the price brand new, but they're usually about 300 - 350 in the classifieds here. You can get a Xcon 12" brand new with 1 year warranty for about $400 shipped.

If you're willing to sacrifice some more SQ, there's subs like the Sundown Nightshade, Fi BTL, T3 TSNS and the SSA Zcon. These subs will have decent SQ, but will have killer SPL.

Theres so many dam options lol... Treo ssx are apparently hella hard to find online according to me so VVX and TREO are scratched off but I heard good about sundown...Idk out of SSA Zcon, SD Nightshade, Fi BTL, T3 which should I go for? I feel like SSA would be good for their customer service but would it hit nearly as hard as the other 3?

You really cant tell how hard a sub pounds by youtube videos. There are so many variables from camera being used to if the car is deadened, etc. The Xcon is on a whole other level than the vvx. I have a vvx and like it a lot, but the rms is 600 and the xcon is 1750. People are going to say the vvx can take double that and it can given the right box design, but the xcon will take more also and probably sound better doing it. It will also cost $200 more.

You have to look at what alternator the car has and decide whether you want to change that and upgrade to power a large amplifier and also what your budget is going to be.

You are definitely stepping into the zone where you will need a HO alt and atleast 1 battery in the trunk to go along with 0/1 gauge power wire if you want to run an amp to push those subs to full potential. All those extras add up to way more cash.

This as well. If you're gonna properly power an Xcon, you're gonna definitely need a second battery. Depending on your stock alt amperage, you may need to upgrade your alt. High output alt upgrade, 0 gauge wire, big 3, dual inputs, line driver, second battery, voltage meter. Plus installation, all that stuff really starts to add up.

All 3 would hit hard, and you can find nice ones in the classifieds priced well from time to time. All of these subs can take some serious abuse daily. You just gotta be willing to power the sub with a good amp and beef up your electrical. Any one of those subs will pound! Right now I know of a sick beefed up BTL that would kill!!!!!!!

SKAR's been the talk of the forum lately //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifI enjoy my VVX15
stay away from skar

T3 went out of business, they're soft parts are junk

treo, is a lil too expensive, and almost impossible to find parts for

with the rest of the choices, it really comes down to what you're willing to do. certain subs will require a HUGE amount of power, which adds expense in amp, electrical, enclosure, etc... and unless you will be competeing, there really is no need.

i would look at either SSA, FI, IA, and even SA for daily ground pounder needs

Im looking for a sub that POUNDS like no tomorrow a sub that can take abuse and a sub that sounds preeeettty decent... I will be hopefully soon driving a z28 I have currenty 2 kicker 12" subs with a cadence amp that matches perfectly but I want to sell those and upgrade to some better subs! For the amp I dont want to do any over powering and under powering I want to get the RMS spot on like for the amp and subs I have now so it just depends on what subs I get first.
Get a single AudioQue 15" or 18" HDC4 for that camaro. It will knock for sure

Well like you said, the Xcon is great. If you care about sound quality and loudness, the Xcon is the perfect sub for you. I currently own a 12" and love it. Beats my old JL Audio W7 in every way, and that W7 costs $200 more. So it's not all about price. Another thing to add, the SSA is the company that makes the Xcon. Their customer service is great and I've never seen 1 complaint about that company. All of their products are made according to order, and they're built here in America.
You see DC subs filling up 1/4th of the subwoofer classifieds section. Go take a look there. If they were such great subs, wouldn't most people be holding onto them instead of selling them? And the customer service isn't the best, reps are pretty nasty. I've never seen a company so uptight about having their product prices made public.

Give us some more detail of exactly what you're looking for. Do you want a sub that gets loud and sounds good, or do you not care about sound quality at all and just want something that pounds. Type or car you have. Do you have an amp already? If not, how much can you afford to spend on an amp? Just some details that can help us give you more accurate opinions. Thanks.
lol dc has amazing customer service, probably one of the best. and they make a hell of a product, as for your claim that 1/4 of the classifieds is filled with dc is a completely false statement.
