subs sound weird

my subs sounds like they are hollow. when they hit sound like its missing somethin. it just started happening. Kind of hard to explain. How can you tell if a sub is blown?

would you say the SPL intensity has changed???? or does it just sound different?

give more info, what box, how long aog has it started happening, did u do anything with the system prior to this, weird smell in the car(coil burning) etc?

really both, sounds like its missin a range of frequencies. like above 50 hz it sounds ok, but lower sounds really bad. i thnk its bottoming out.

i had this system in my car for 7 years. the box is prefab like 1.2 cu ft per sub sealed, just started probably this month. naw didnt do anythin to the system.

i burnt a mosfet on the amp last month(its a pyramid amp i know i know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif) . but amp still worked and system sounded fine. but all of a sudden it starts soundin like this. And no smells from the car.

check the voice coils on the subs, and take that amp out of the car and get it fixed before it does more damage

and check for dc output from the amp

Just read the mosfet thingy... Internals on the amp shorted out and you still didn't take it out of the car? Do you have children or anything? Great way to try to set them on fire if you do.
