subs on rear deck 6" or 8"??

i want to take the 12" out of my trunk. takes up to much space. so im thinking of fabricating my own enclosures...do you think i can fit 8's? on my rear? also what do you suggest for types of enclosures that i could put on there?

You sure can. Two sealed 8's would be a very nice choice for the rear deck.

And they sound amazing! Only require around .17 cubic feet sealed each. Of course Mike never sent me the boots as he promised... I should probably email him...

oh man those 8"s would be SICK!! lol..anyone know how much those ss 8's would be and how much they weigh? cause im also trying to justify weight differences in having a 12"w3 in a sealed box vs. 2 6" or 8" in ported boxes.

Should be available in September / October. Gives you some time to research and plan your enclosure(s) out if you'd like.

If you like the idea of using a pair of 8's, there are many others out there to look at.

They were $138 each. But are no longer available until around October. And they really do not weigh that much. But I have no actual weight for you...

well it's time to do some measuring and researching. looks like imma have an alternative to my HUGE box in the trunk. realy annoyin haha.. i dont even open the trunk anymore. but i think box building might a tad tricky.

well i just cehcked the weight of the rl 8's and it's freaking 18lbs...*******..not really saving much weight if i put 2 of em plus the ported enclosures =(

what you guys think of the JL 6w0? i know they weigh 5lbs really light. anyone know how they are in terms of bass output?

No where near a RL-i8. It is one of the loudest 8's I've heard. I'm about to pick up a 8w7 and do a little review...

yea i know it's no where near the RL-i8...but the **** RLi-8 weighs so **** much. maybe i can stick it right in the center of the rear deck. anyone ever try that?
