Hi all, so heres the set up Im running a pioneer FH-XT720BT, HIFONICS BRUTUS ELITE 1700.1D, TWO S12L74, installed in a custom box 1.0cft from soundoff audio in 08 silverado crew cab. the subs are downward firing and are wired at 1 ohm tested with voltage meter. So can someone please tell me why these aren't hitting hard at all? I started with the one sub wired at 4 ohm to a t600.2 channel and it sound decent so i thought as soon as the 2nd sub came in i would be moving hair. but thats not the case at all.

yeah i thought the 1 cube is not enough but min is .88 sealed but why do you think the 1 sub at 4 ohm hit harder than 2 at 1 ohm?

With that amp maybe. Are they in separate enclosures? If not than yes it easily could be better with one.

Kickers minimum is to help sales of thier prefab packages. Marketing. They are very shady with the fine print.

Air space is still a major issue. 1 cube 12" Kicker at that is choking them. They should be seeing 2-2.5 ea at a minimum. With the space you have 2 cubes (1 per sub) I'd do 2 8s or maybe 2 10" depending on which ones (not Kickers).
