Subs in Cold Weather

Not really sure what damage it could cause. they sit in the car unused for a few days if you dont' drive the car . They dont' see any wattage unless the radio is on. And subwoofers work in alaska which gets oh I dunno about 60 degrees colder than fl lol. Well 40 won't hurt. Now I dont 'see any reason why any temp would hurt them while just sitting

lawl. i remeber last year there was a guy going on and on about his vc's freezing. freakin funny stuff there. IMO, i would be more worried bout frost n stuff around the amp. when u start to run the amp u might get a little water on the board inside. i'm not sure how often this happens. but i would worrie more bout that than the sub.

I know mine have worked down to the single digits. I would usually just play em low volume in the morning before the truck warmed up or just slowly turn em up kind like breaking them in each morning. But really I have never noticed any problem, just keep moisture away from em and you should be fine. A good beating makes it easier to open the trunk too when the seals freeze up lol.

BTW, it is 2° out where I am atm.

As long as they arent playing they will be fine, but the cold will cause a viscosity problem with the subs and cause them to tear around the top. but if you don't bump them they should be fine. I have mine off if it gets less than 70 degrees outside

You don't turn your subs on unless its over 70 degrees?
