Hey guys trying to get back into car audio a little. I'm in Iraq for another 2 months but I'd like to put subs in my truck when I get back. I do not want to take the back seats out. Was looking at the new probox and the mtx encolsures. Was wondering if I get the probox can I run alpine type r subs in it? Not real sure on the mounting depth or volume of space. Guess the easy way would be a mtx preloaded enclosure but I've never been a big fan of mtx. Also what amps would you guys choose. Last system I had included the black waffle style punch 200 if that tells you anything. I'm also looking at doing the rest of the truck ie headunit and speakers but that will be easy after i decide the sub thing. Here is the link to the probox http://www.proboxrocks.com/dodge/02upquad.shtml

Thanks guys

There are several companies out there that make prefab for the quadcab. I would go more towards a regular box like this one. The one you are looking at looks like a bandpass which needs to be designed exactly to meet a certain subs needs. The box below has chambers that are each .73 cubes per side whether you use a 10 or 12 so I would go with a 10 inch sub that works great in that size box like.

Would the quality of the box be ok off e-bay. I've just heard so many horror storys off there. Looking at all different types of subs just one real question. It says the mounting depth is 7". If I get a sub that has say 6 3/4" will it be to much for the box even if the cubic space is correct. Also does poly-fil help at all. Sorry for all the newb questions. Thanks guys
