considering audioque hd 12's

im thinking of swapping my rl-p 12's for a pair of audioque hd 12's, but i dont want to build another box, its too much of a PITA with my car. the box i have now is 4.2 cubic ft net, with 2 4 inch aeroports about 16 inches long. its ~30 hz tune with my rl-p's.

how will this box work with the audioques? i could make the ports a bit longer, but only about a half inch tops.

if its 2 - 4'' aeros per sub youll be fine.

otherwise, i wouldnt think its enough port area.

imo AQ is more of a spl sub than anything else.

i guess they can get loud but dont expect the same quality from them as the RLP's.

what reason do you have for buying new subs?

i just want to get louder than i can with my rl-p's. i've got a crossfire vr2000d thatll take up to 16v, so i have a bit of power to play with. i know im not going to get the sq or even close, but i want something louder than shit for daily, and loud to the ear, since i never compete and want to tune in the 32 hz range.

it wouldnt be a problem to add 2 more ports, but i can't have them any longer than 17 inches without having them angle at the back to follow the box.
