Just curious.

I played the stereo perdy hard on the way home with a constant bass song on. By the time i got home, the dustcaps of the subs were a wee bit warm to the touch. Not really warm or anything, but you could tell that it wasnt their standing, unplayed temperature.

How warm is too warm?

I've always gone by smell with my older subs as well, but i never really felt the cone of the sub after abusing it for a while until recently.

thanks for the input everyone.

I've had an old TC sounds 4hp straight up catch on fire, set the box on fire, and almost my jeep as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
LOL, never thought as subs as fire hazards.
