Hey guys. I just got a Lancer Evolution not too long ago and I'm looking to upgrade the system. I don't want to put a box or anything like that in it due to the weight. So I'm looking at putting subs in my rear deck, probably some form of 6" in the stock locations. The only ones I'm aware of really are JL Audio 6w0's, which seem to get good reviews. My question really is, what's the best way to do this? Build a small MDF enclosure around each sub? Or would infinite baffle (of which I have very limited knowledge) work well? I'm not looking to modify the car itself much at all, IE cutting, etc. So I'd like to do as much plug and play as possible. I know infinite baffle has an effect on how much power you can run to the subs, but how do I know what the threshold is? What would you guys do, and what would you do it with? My goal really is to have it sound as good or better than some of the better stock systems. Thanks!
