my friend has a 01 camaro z28 and he had 2 phoenix gold octaves, 2 audiobahn flame q's, but now he has 2 jl 12w3v2 and they DEFINATLEY sound better that the other ones sq and spl wise. hes running them off some visonik 2 channel and it sounds so clean on the inside. just my .02 cents

spl is not hard to achieve in this car. even s.q. only subs can hit hard in this car if its installed properly.

3 8l7's would be sick in that. i had a friend with 3 8w6's (v1) in the back of his 88 formula with a kicker 200si and it was loud as hell.

You should tell him to run 2 12L7's in a prefab box that fits right down in the well. Like the ones on here:

dont do prefab unless its sealed and you get to see how well its actually constructed in person. plenty of places will slap a few boards together and call it a box.
