Subs for a single cab Ford Ranger

I have a friend with a single cab Ford Ranger, needless to say not too much room behind the seats. He has no more than $100 to spend per sub and he wants and SPL sub with some SQ. I was thinking that fitting 2 12"s would be hard so maybe some 10"s. Let me know what you guys think will match up! Thanks

100 bucks per sub isnt going to get you some good stuff, instead of buying 2 12s for 100 a piece, id just get 1 12 for 200, i think you would be happier with the sq, thats just my opinion tho

hes not into sound quality, he wants a sub that bumps and if it sound good thats a plus...

I would do like an L78 ported...with 12's, he will loose major leg room, and with a 1.0 ported 8", I have one in my regular cab truck, with the amp mounted on the back wall too, and only 400 watts, it slams. I have the remote gain almost all the way down...amazing what one 8" can do.

I put 2 Kicker Comp VR 8's in a wedge shaped box behind the seats in my son's 97 reg cab Ranger. 100 watts each... mighty loud.

go to http://www.rangerpowersports.com they will help you i have one 12" behind my seat the sub has a 6 1/2" mounting depth so i lost a pretty good bit of leg room but if i was your friend i would get 2 10's.

i have a bench seat in my single cab pickup with 2 10" JL's in sealed boxes behind the seat, only had to move the seat one notch.

pounds harder then any other system any of my buddys got in there cars and its no wear near as good.

bass gets twice as loud with windows+ back window open, and 3-4X louder AND 4x deeper with the doors open.

problem is in the winter i dont like having my windows down all the time lol, and i cant drive with the doors open :S. but it still pounds hard as shit with the windows down. and if ur showin off ur system keep the doors open //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif

oh and my JL's pound hard as shit and work real well for me in my single cab pickup, so id consider them if i wear you, fairly cheap too.

you have a cancellation issue, hence why it's louder with the windows open.
