Im planning on putting 4 mj 18's in the back of my dodge caravan, . im not looking for big numbers i just want some kick you the nuts kind of bass...

the question is if i fire the subs down with maybe 3-6 inches of clearance from the floor of the van how bad would it be? also if i were to do that any suggestions on what way i should be facing the port?

i want to fire them down so they are A) more hidden ( i live in a REALLY bad area) and B) i still need to use the back of the van...

any help or input i would be greatful for.

Can also do port down if you have the room as I've built HT subs that way before and never had any issues. Usually leave around 5" of clearance, but you might need more depending upon how wide the port is.

Should be a thumpin van when you're done....
