//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif i just need an explanation of why facing forwards works in some cars and not in others. I was just at a comp where a guy had his subs facing forward with the seats down and are so loud while having a 1/2 inch all the way around, but in my trunk car with the subs facing forward with the trunk totally sealed off isn't loud at all.

It pretty much just ticks me off. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Also wouldn't putting my box in the backseat be the same as sealing off your trunk if your seats are up.

I think i'm drunk

smaller cars or cars with alot of room taken up seem to get louder when the subs are facing forward.

and in trunk cars it all depends. some get louder sealed off from the trunk and some get louder by facing it back and letting the waves unload on the back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its about sound waves and reflection, if the seats are down its similar to having a wall.

if seats arent down its like playing ur bass into a wall. standing waves, blah blah.

trunk cars point them backwards
