i have a friend who had 2 eclipse 12s and a kenwood amp. i sat in his car and they sounded nice when is bass on the head unit was -6. now when at 0 they would shake your whole body and if you talked it sounded like you were talking into a fan. then he needed money and sold everything to me (the subs box and amp) i put them in my car and the do not proform even close to what they did in his car. why? i know that i dont have them bridged but they still should hit pretty good right? it is a four channel amp and i dont have it bridged should i bridge it? thanks for the help,

im going to guess the same as everyone else as far as vehicle, not only the cabin shape but also the electrical system may be different and or wiring.

I think the car really does matter... My friend is running a couple Rockford P2's at like 400w, and I am running two type R's at about 1500w, and his gets comparably loud to mine....

He has a Chevy Lumina, and I have a BMW 325ix...

Make sure the subs are wired correctly, and if he had the front half bridged to the 1st sub and the 2nd sub bridged to the back half of the amp he would have nearly double the power your useing now.

Plus cars definatly make a diffrence

Did you use the same size wire for the amplifier?

Factory electrical systems can also make a diffrence, Hs car could have came with a larger battery and alt,

Theres so many possibilitys that can make diffrences its really had to say but to start with make sure you have everything wired correctly for the most power and with the proper size wire to feed the amp
