do i need to upgrade my battery or should i just get a cap? im running 2 RF P1 15s and its a RF r-1000d mono amp 1000 watts rms pushing em at2ohms. When i turn the bass up a lil more maybe 65% the subs just cut out amp is ice cold and no signal lights turn on, amp is brand new! Also with this setup about how high should the lpf be turned up there in a 94 mustang gt

Please tell me why you thought a cap would help?

I am serious we get a ton of new people on this board who think that.

is it something a local store told you or you heard it from your friends?

For years and years now - it has been well proven that caps are close to worthless yet every new person for some reason thinks they are the Black Magic that is going to fix their electrical system.

As far as your problem, how were your gains set? What headunit do you have?

Boss Headunit - that could very well be your problem.

You do know that is about the worse unit made

It is very possible that when you turn it up the radio is failing and no longer sending a good signal to your amp.
