ok i have 2 12" jbl an 2 jbl bpx 2200.1 amp i blew one alt already.. its a stock

80 amp. the question isss , can i just load up on batts, or will the alt be charging at full ability an blow again...i cant change the alt for the fact that just an alt will be 350 to 400. becuse i have a none popular sound comp car lol 2002 hyundai accent 1.6 liter.. any info will be good

well i have the one that blew the first time still,, im thinking about taking the a/c out becuse i dont like to use it anyways becuse it use's to much gas an just will that it with a stock.. so it will be 2 stock 80 amp alts.. the problem will be tring to make a bracket becuse its not in the best location

you should get an external digital voltage meter so you can be more aware of where you voltage is sitting at when your playing your music. thus not dropping under voltage and causing your alt to run liek a mofo.

i do i got a stinger blue led one mounted to my dash,, but the problem is that wen i was running 1 2200.1 i blew an alt, i mean i ran it hard,, not i have 2 for theses year i dident hook them up yet , becuse i dont wanna piss money away..wut im saying is ill buy like 3 or 4 batts, but will the alt take a crap if it has to charge 4 batts.? thanks

yes the alt will take a crap get the broken one rewound stronger and try power master use the stock rewound stronger one and get a powermaster 200amp and make a bracket up it will be hard but in the end it will cost you less than replacing 80amp alts every time they blow

wew have heps of then here in oz and also quite a few compeating most of them have custom alts built or use gm ones or bosh type and have them rewound to spec the biggest bosh you can get here is 140amp so you have to use a bigger one like a 200 or 2 140s either way you will have to use two or 1 big one that has a good idle speed

I wouldn't go the route of 2 stock alternators ... I would research and find out what car has a real big stock alternator; Maybe one with an available overdrive pulley. Since you're going custom, you don't have to stick with OEM.

my biggest problem is it not in the open like my cavalier, i had,, my hyundai is located right above the oil filter so its tight.. i need to make a bracket, so i can put one were the a/c comp is ,, that will be the hardest making a bracket that will hold,,lol
