on my way to my parents my subs stopped working, i got out of the car, checked wiring, amp fuses, protection light was not on, pulled hu out to check wiring, its all good...
still nothing out of the subs, so i go on my merry way, about five minutes later, one of the two subs starts just goin' crazy, its starts motoring in and out relatively fast by no means in sync with the music im listening to....but the second sub is still doing nothing...
got to parents, checked flexibility in the cone, they will compress easily as normal. (had a sub blow in the past, it was frozen) so i don't know what is wrong...
i have a memphis pr300.3 amp and 2 10'' kicker comps, they are rated for 150rms at 4ohms, i believe, with using both outputs on the amp (one to each sub) i am running the amp at 150rms at 4ohms, it is capable of 210rms at 2 ohms but i did not run them in parallel to eachother or series, so they should be running on the 150rms...
anyone have any insight into what would cause this and does the one sub freaking out giv any tell tale sign of whats goin' on?
