subs and port back or front

Radio Shack used to sell this thing called a BonePhone radio or something close to that name. It was a radio you wore around your neck and the sound vibrations carried into your body so you could hear the radio was how it was supposed to work.

I wonder if anyone will ever find a way to do something like that for bass in mobile audio? Everyone could just plug in, turn a potentiometer to the level they want and get the real feel for the bass as they like it.

Could a car seat be made to handle bass transmission?

Sorry if I veered too far off the thread's topic but with all the discussions about how to aim a sub and port, I'm of a mind to dispose of them altogether and find another way to do things that gets the bass right to YOU, the listener.
