I have afosgate punch 500.2 2 channel amp and a audiofonics adf-270 10" inch sub that has 500 rms 1000 peak watts, and is dvc 4-ohms. The amp is 2-ohm stable at 2x250 watts. I want to know how to wire the sub in the box. Currently I have it wired so all +'s are together and the -'s together(what i mean is i have ashortwire going from + to the other + and then to the + side of amp, same for the - side). I plan to run the sub mono.

Welcome to the forum.

You are going to have problems with the way you have your sub run. A D4 sub can be run in 2 or 8 ohms. You have it ran at 2 ohms. You amp however is 500@4ohms. It isnt 2ohm stable in mono. You have 2 options.

1)run the sub in series at 8ohms (this will mean that the sub will get minimum power, probly what the amp is rated at 4ohm stereo. example...if your amp is 125x2@4ohms 8ohm mono will be ~250 watts total.

2) Run each coil on a channel. This means that your amp will power them at 4ohm stereo. The exact same power as above.

You really should look into getting either a D2 sub (if you want to keep the amp) or a new amp that will power your sub at 2ohm mono if you want to get the full potential out of it.
