Umm, I don't pay for food
I am looking to do a 15" in my Intrepid. Right now I am looking to do sub up, port back and I am wondering how people with this setup in a trunk car like it. What are the pros and cons. I have double layered my rear deck and trunk lid with damplifier, so it is deadened VERY well.

Post your thoughts and results wih this type of setup.

Here is a picture for reference.

These guys can't honestly give you a clue of what its going to sound like. They dont have the same car, same sub, same amp, and same box. Not to mention comments like "Sub up port back sounds like ***" just gives you a clue as to how little they know.

The truth is if you have the rear deck thoroughly deadened so it does not rattle this setup can sound good. I have tried a ported box in this same type of position and it sounded decent once the rattles were removed.

What the others are saying though will be true if your rear deck isn't stable and if the box isn't built to correctly control the sub.

well if you are like my buddy(he has 2 12" Rockford Punch 2s) he has both subs facing forward with the port facing forward but he drives around with his 40 section of his 60/40 seat down. Sounds really loud.

I myself will be doing port/sub back because its been shown before that this type of setup in MOST cars is louder.
