Hello all. Before I start, this is going into a Subaru Impreza, and i tried hard to make the last system I bought work, but everything went wrong. Built the box, but just barely too big for the car, then once i finally got it in had a ton of difficulties because it took up 98% of the trunk and no room to work. Long story, but in the end I realized that my car is not designed to have that heavy and that big of a system in the rear. Heres what I'm looking for. I want nice clean, low, bass (SQL) but still want a decent amount of SPL (looking to hit at least 135-140 db) in 1 12" sub (only 16" height in trunk, so no room for 15") and 1 monoblocked amp. Now, I would prefer as small as a box as possible and still get those numbers and great SPL. That's why I was leaning towards JL Audio, but I'd love to hear some other suggestions. I sold my last system quickly as possible, not even thinking about keeping just 1 type r. Soo, whatcha guys got? Now the box, I will either make myself or have someone else make if its a decent price, so that's not an issue, and 4 guage wiring amp kit from knukonceptz is ran, and im not replacing anymore wiring just because already upgraded from 8 guage.
