sub position?? which way to face

i need help determining which way to face the sub... 15" L7 ..here's a crude picture of what i'm talking about.. in #1 the sub is really really close to the port... like about an inch away... ... #2 the sub would be about 2" away from the seat with the port firing up...

which way is going to be better?

depending on which way i go box is going to be about 5 cubes.. and about 61.5 sq" of port... is this too much for an L7?.... thanks..

maybe a little more from you. i can help you with the positioning but i dont have enough experience with the L7's ported to help you with the volume and port area.

gotta load the pressure somewhere. for a truck i agree

out of those two drawings, I would do #1. but a downfiring box would be sweet if you can make room for it.
