sub not working..check out the picture please

hey guys, new here but have a very important question. My sub is no longer working..i made sure every wire connection was good everywhere so it leads me to believe its my speaker wire input. please look at this picture as i have no idea whats happening here and want to know if you guys have any insight..thanks

OP looks like you have a thermal issue somewhere. That terminal looks like it got HOT. is that on your amp?

not a clue why its white..one day i looked at the amp and thats what i saw..no idea how it happened

it looks melted to me. i think it's safe to assume your amp is toast, and that is why no output. you will want to check your sub too. open up the amp and have a look.

Looks to be like you're using 8 gauge power wire? How many watts are you running? Might be why it melted.

i believe that is the output to the sub. not the power input. i could be wrong.

Is that the power and ground inputs or the speaker outputs?

If thats your power and ground you're trying to pull way to much current through that small wire and melted it.

sorry for not clarifying this...but these are my speaker wires..my power and ground are not pictured but they are 4 gauge..the picture is of the speaker wire input

do you have a DMM? if so, i'd put it on your coils and see if they are toasty
