sub cuts out

I just recently got an alarm installed in my car. When i was driving home i noticed that my sub cuts out when i turn the volume up past 10. Also when the sub cuts out the speakers get severely distorted. I called the place and they told me an rca plug fell out, so i reconnected it but this problem still occurs and i dont know why the sub shuts off at ne volume over 10? ne one have ne experience wit this kind of problem, my stereo was perfect till i got that **** alarm insalled. Thanx for the help

I found the problem to be a faulty connection at my battery, i tested the wiring and it was giving me 14.22 volts at the battery, but after the fuse under my hood iw as only getting 7.6volts so i saudered my ring terminal connection and replaced the fuse and it was all fine. Just thought id tell everyone incase someone comes across this problem, later
