Actually, the metal strips make the rings really flexible, allowing exact placement of where you want them. They are strong enough to hold the rings in place, but will move when you push on them.I really like the idea of using those metal stips...seems like it would be alot easier to work with then dowels and hot glue. Probably alot sturdier and reassuring when you lay the fleece.
With the size of the box and the power that the sub will be seeing, I think the single 4" port will be sufficient.Are you sure just one litlle 3"? or 4"? port is going to be enough. Otherwise it looks great.
