I know some one who has a rig with a thick plate steel wall in it but He's not into competing anymore so I have never heard it.

My brother was at an audio shop in Raleigh, NC and sent me this pic of some type of metal enclosure in an RSX. He said he heard the car long before it came and when it pulled in it sounded amazing, was very loud, ground shaking type bass, the kind you feel, when you're outside the car. 1/4 aluminum = 3/4 mdf.

I bet that would look badass if polished to a mirror finish.

And dont have to worry about thieves...If your car gets broken into, just look for the guy with his nuts around his ankles.

Yea. Lead acid battery FTMFL. Hydrogen sulfide is a broad spectrum poison, generated by batteries. Its eventually gonna corrode his box lol. I bet it sounds pretty good though. Metal doesnt really damp sound waves like mdf would, i assume

i noticed that battery too.. This is one weird audio shop, box looks just rediculous and since metal isn't dense as MDF. I try to picture the sound of what it would be like to knock on the box.. My thoughts aren't as impressive as its being made out to sound like. Very nice welds though.

Yeah that would be interesting with such a drastically less dense material. I'd love to hear it. Maybe he should put some Eclipse speakers in it to match the theme.

i wouldnt say less dense,,aluminium is 156 Lbs per cubic foot while mdf is 39 lbs per cubic

Those are some nice welds though. Real even pattern. I would love to hear it .

Ah.. I said it backwards, Metal has virtualy no viscosisty to denseness as MDF

Man that was an old mag like 1993-94 the whole trunk was concrete.
