Sub box made of metal?!?! *PIC*

My brother was at an audio shop in Raleigh, NC and sent me this pic of some type of metal enclosure in an RSX. He said he heard the car long before it came and when it pulled in it sounded amazing, was very loud, ground shaking type bass, the kind you feel, when you're outside the car.
