sub bass output is gone

using a walmart Dual HU until my pioneer gets here. would a shitty cd player prevent good bass output from my subs? ive been told to replace it many times, which i finally ordered a pioneer 3800MP.. would this help any? my bass is still there, just not as loud as when i first installed it. this has happened with every amp/sub combo ive used with my dual. when i first hook it all up it sounds great. but after a week or so.. it seems to lose alot of the 'punch' in the bass

if you have the pioneer HU mess with the settings. use the custom setting and go change everything to your liking...

your prolly just breaking in your subs. look in the setting on your hu and make sure sub output is on and then turn your gains up a bit.
