I got a better idea, how about i stay in this thread and watch you get mad because i won't leave? its impossible for a sub to draw more current than its given. It you give a sub 50amps hows it gonna get more?

What happens when you hook up (i'll keep this in terms you can understand) a 1kw rms sub with a 500w max amp (and lets just say they're running @ 2 ohms)

max don't mean anything so let's say 500 watts @ 2 ohms RMS? the sub works fine until u turn it up loud enough for the amp not being able to power it which is called distortion.

I will add that its probably not good to underpower the subs but it shouldn't cause them to cut out.

Ok, thats where you are wrong.

Also, i didn't say it was 500w rms, I said 500 max. You can hook it up, but playing that sub at any resonable volume would certainly cut the amp off - which is what his case is... his sub is drawing too much current from his underpowered amplifier. he needs to upgrade his amplifier and he'll be fine.

500 watts max? ur stupid for saying that.....any amp could be 500 watts max! So lets say 250watts rms. guess what, subs don't draw current, they are powered by watts. so I'm right

edit: and it wouldn't cut off the amp.

no its not my amp. my subs is 350rm and my amp is rated at 420rms @ 2ohms in my kicker cert

yea like i said, solder your connections and make sure the RCA's are good and they're not loose

also my amp doesnt cut out, the subs still play. just not as loud.. then theyll come back on.. at all volumes. low, medium, high.. doesnt matter, still happens and my RCA's are secure.. on the amp side anyway. i wont have a chance to check my HU till sunday

check speaker wire too...make sure theres no loose connections....
