I didn't call you anything that wasn't accurate or deserved. I AM the victim. I was trying to have a discussion about a mission statement of a car audio forum and hypothetical scenarios. You twisted into me having a conspiracy theory that this site intentionally misinforms etc just so you could pick and argument with me and try to demonize me. That's obvious for anyone to see.

I was trying to have a discussion about a comment you made and I quoted about the success rate of forums that have a desired goal of informing the members with accurate information vs

those that don't really pay close attention to the accuracy of information provided.

Lets look at exactly what you did say...

It's not about not having the stomach for it, etc. It's also not asking for recommendations. It's "which x is best in y scenario?" If you want to help with it, as a mod you should have a canned response such as "there is no BEST, read z to find out the reason." I realize that having a knowledgeable forum is counter-intuitive to traffic on the site. I probably know that better than anyone, but at some point you have to give a mission statement and stick to it. Are we here to educate the masses or just circle jerk? If traffic is the main perogative then I understand the circle jerk. Also, I mean no offense by this. We are openning up a healthy discussion I believe and i'm not trying to accuse or point fingers.

You now claim you weren't talking about this site. If your comments were "speaking in general", not about this site, why does the same reply also talk about what you think I should be doing, as a mod of this site, to alter its content? i think its fair to say that people asking for the "best" is more likely a misuse of the word that's taken too literally by any zealous in need of a vacation. Their asking only to gather a consensus of results to narrow down choices that may be suitable in an industry that caters to many different needs and variables. Their still asking for advice even if they don't know all toaster's make toast.

Next time someone asks for "the best" amp. Just give them a list of amps that your experience considers great regardless of price limited only to what other system hardware their using. 800 watt sub, then maybe you would say, ok this Sundown amp, this hifonic amp...whatever and let them decide based on everyone who posts list.

That's a lot nicer and easier than to jump their ignorance down their throats or try to teach them something they don't want to learn. Have some people skills about it for god's sake, many of them would be happy with about any amp anyway, that's why Best Buy and Walmart sell's the stuff
