after my first install and dealing with 4awg wire, i found it is kinda a pain in the ass to strip it with a pocket knife. how do you guys do it?
i **** at crimping, i've been meaning to ask what you guys use? I usually try and use a pair of vice grips and tighten just a little each time till i can't squeeze tighter lola pair of wire cutters/strippers. Not that hard actually. I just hate crimping 1/0 wire.
Do what me and Andrew2944R did....screw the crimping....solder the **** things on there....I had to do 0 crimping and it works like a charm.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gifi **** at crimping, i've been meaning to ask what you guys use? wire cutters for them always.pocket knives are usually cheap ****. Get some steak knives for that ****. If you think that's tough try cutting 1/0 wires
Hammer on the pavement. Use a center punch for it at first, so it gets a bite on it, then hammer away.i **** at crimping, i've been meaning to ask what you guys use? I usually try and use a pair of vice grips and tighten just a little each time till i can't squeeze tighter lol
