Stupid Amp Question

I know little about car audio. I’m looking for some basic advise on replacement of my stock amp in my 96 BMW Z3. The system is component; tweeter, midrange, midbass in each door. What type of amp should I be looking at? I want to keep the system stock but get a bit better sound.

I would think a 4ch assuming that the tweett and mid are crossed over and not seperate
