Hey, i get my amp tomorrow (i hope) and i only have a 60a agu fuse currently installed. I have 5 100a agu's on the way (ordered friday) But i want to get this thing up and running tomorrow.

If i hook that up to run at 1000w rms at 1 ohm do you think it will draw more than 60a?

I want to know if my current fuse will work temporarily until i get the 100a fuses.

I know I had the Hifonics BXi 1206D on a 50amp fuse for awhile...It's rated at 80amp's max

1200wrms...But what's weird is the Hifonics BXi 1606D (is only 600wrms more) And it has

two 80amp = 160max Fuses, They doubled the fuse rating for 600wrms difference... You

can try to run that 50amp fuse the worst it could do is blow it lol

considering a fuse size increase w/o any mention of wire size...not good.

The 1606 will draw well over 100A on peaks, but if you don't blast it a lot a 60A fuse might last a long time.

If you have 8 ga don't replace the 60A. If you have 4 ga I'd recommend a 125A ANL -- 100A SHOULD work ok unless you're blasting some HEAVY bass or tones.
