Stupid Alpine CDA-9856 question

I just put my Alpine CDA-9856 in and got a KCA-121B aux. input. I have my iPod hooked up to that, but I have no idea how to get to my aux. input through the head unit. I only have a choice between CD and tuner.

I have read the manual, but it only confuses me more. I know this is a very dumb, newb question, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to go into the radio's menu and turn the aux function on.

I have the same unit. Although I don't have an iPod, I think this is how you do it:

Press the [MENU] button until "SETUP" appears on the display.

Press either the [|>|] button until "AUX IN" appears on the display.

Rotate the ROTARY ENCODER (the volume knob) until "AUX ON" appears on the display.

Press [MENU] until "RETURN" appears in the display.

After that, I believe you'll have an iPod selection when you press [sOURCE/POWER].

why on earth did you not get the kca-422i? it's only $29.99, it's full speed, it charges your ipod, and you can control everything from the headunit. quit wasting your time with aux. input
