Stuck Cd

Don't know if this is the right section to post this but my friend has a stuck CD in her 2001 Mustang. It doesnt move or even attempt to eject, and the display screen says "No CD" while trying to do anything, but there is actually a CD in there. So far I've tried:

1) taking tweezers and pushing up on the CD until its level.

2) Removing the positive terminal clamp from the battery, hoping that would reset all electric systems.

She still has the factory head unit and I really don't want to take it apart because with Ford's there are no gurantees it'll work again. Worst case scenerio I will do that and just buy her and install an aftermarket cd player but I wanted to look at other options first. Any ideas?

Also, Ive never worked on a Ford before and if I was to remove her stock head unit, how would I do that?

is there a reset hole or somethin on the head unit when you take off the face? mine has one, and when I pressed it when there was a cd inside, it ejected it/

I don't think I can take the face plate off her head unit without taking the whole thing apart, but even if I could, unfortunately, I don't think Ford is not that smart to make a hole like that.

dont waste your time trying to find the reset button if you dont find it in five minutes. the radio is already screwed up so belt it with a hammer a bunch of times or pry the **** thing open. if not take every screw out of it that can possibly be taken out

i agree with a bunch of the other guys, you should just get a big hammer and beat the crap out of it carefully, just be careful that you dont break the cd, THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!!!

most of the time to get a HU out (at least with my ford expernices) you need the Din tool, 2 long horseshoe shaped things, that will go into little holes on the faceplate. Just push them in till it pops out a little then pull it out the rest of the way. If you don't have the DIN tool go to any local shop that does car audio or go to crutchfield.com and oder. Actually, if you take it to a shop and tell them your dellema they might pop it out for you for free, or a real cheap price.
