PM JohnEJanowitz on here, he was the owner of Stryke audio which changed it's name to Acoustic Elegance due to legal issues. He will be able to give you all the info you need.

This driver is actually the SA071. S1-MTM was the name of the D'Appolito style kit offered by Stryke back in the day. You could buy the whole kit which included the four 7" drivers, two tweeters, and two crossovers for less than $200. I've never seen this driver sell for more than $20 and have seen it sell for as little as $12 when they were on special. I think your friend made some money off of you. I probably have the specs stashed in a file someplace, I'll see if I can find them (if I still have them).

well he didnt know either. he has a storage full of old car and home audio that was accumulated over the years. there was no label or anything on them.

hmm i guess ill be seeing him again

but how do they sound has any of you guys hear them? what would ou compare them to from car speaker selection so i get an idea of that they can do

This is how they sound. You'll need to tame that break-up between 4.5-7k with a notch filter and address the depression around 1200Hz with some EQ before applying a crossover filter but it should sound nice overall.

i probably do but its not gonna be 60 i work with him so i got a deal plus i did some work for him also

lol so he was charging more than 60 anyways?

man i just put them in instead of my alpines to see how they sound

and they sound fn amazing. me and alot of my coworkers were pretty impressed with the lows they put out.

i found some crossover diagrams for those stryke audio

but they are made for sealed boxes

since they are installed in the doors of my car should i change any values in that crossover to adjust for different space setup?

heres the diagram

woofer filter:

Series L with notch filter

-----1.7mH----------------------------- +

|

6uF

|

0.15mH

|

---------------------------------------- -

No resistor in the parallel branch. This asymptotically follows a 1st order response, but the Q of the notch filter is such that in the 2000-5000hz region it follows very closely a 4th order linkwitz riley response. cone breakup modes are suppressed by ~30dB

tweeter: 2nd order electrical w/series resistor

-----4uF--------------10ohm-------------- +

|

0.6mH

|

----------------------------------------- -

~85dB sensitivty. If the tweeter is to laid back try decreasing its series R to about 7 or 8 ohms
