Stripping Kicker Hyperflex Speaker Wire

I picked quite a bit up not too long ago and installed my new speakers with some. However this stuff is a ***** to strip since it's almost like a squared shape and i always end up cutting the actual wire. Any easier way with this stuff?

Knife, dremel, scissors (what i use), teeth, there's literally TONS of ways people strip wire.

I use a scissors most or just plain old strippers.

take a razor knife and lightly press in with a new blade against your work surface. Once you feel it hit the wire, push forward and rotate the wire. Perfect strip every time.

i use regular strippers on all my speaker wires. a box cutter , razor , or knife for the bigger gauges.

I have the wire strippers that grip and strip the wire. Ive never had a problem with any wire before regardless of shape. They are a lot easier to use, also.

lighters work... heat it for a second, and then just rip off the insulation after it softens a bit

i usually just use a razor or wire cutters

i went bought some cheapie $20 crimper/strippers at home depot, got it working pretty good. thanks for the replys fellas

I have some of the kicker wire and know what you mean. But my wire strippers i have had for a couple of years seem to do the trick just with a lil more effort.

get those titaium scissors at wal-mart for like 3 dollars put it where u want to cut and sqweeze the handle but dont cut all the way threw the wire just untill u get to the wire then twist the scissors in a circle all the way around the wire with a little bit of pressure then just pull off...thats the way i do it maybe its alot of work but hell it works
