stripped side post battery terminal

[93 saturn sl2 10+ year member]

The battery post on my moms Impala is stripped. The terminal just turns and wont come out at all. Im not sure if its the terminal or the actual battery that is stripped. Does anyone have any suggestions to removing the terminal?

Wedge a flat head screwdriver between the terminal and the battery while you are reversing the terminal...
