Can some one explain these terms to me

Strapping amps together is basically just combining the 2 into 1, so if you have 2 mono blocks then strap them (if they are strap-able) it doubles the output to one channel.

Clamping is just measuring the rms output of the amp

how can you tell if an amp is stap-able

If its strappable it will have a switch on it that allows you to switch from master to slave.

ok I used to have an amp with this feature never payed much attention to it
