Strapping amps

Is there a way to run two amps with out strapping them? I would like to run one amp to each sub.

If I strap the amps they become 2 ohm stable. That won't work for me. I have 2 dual 1 ohm subs and would like to run each amp at a half ohm. Any ideas how to do it? just plugging each sub into a separate amp isn't good I don't think...

If you strap the amps at 1 ohm, then each amp is seeing a .5ohm load. So if you wired your subs to 1 ohm, then you should have no problem running them the way you wanted.

You could probably get away with running the amps separately, but you would just have to match the gains on both amps. (Im not sure about that though)

maxx-link hmmm. So that wouldnt set the amps to bridge mode and be 2 ohm stable? If not that would be the way to go then I would think.
