strapped orion 1200d thoughts

ok, i have a re xxx 15 dual 2ohm (wish i stuck with the quad 1ohm config when i reconed but o well) and ihave 1 orion 1200d.

in the effort to get more power for competition burps, instead of selling the orion and saveing up i was thinking, could 2 strapped orion 1200d take a 1 ohm load (lowest recommended is 2 ohms when stapped) for 20-30 second burps. how badly would it hurt the amp, assuming u don run them into protection mode every time u do it.........

ALSO for daily driveing, if i got another 1200d, could hook one up to each voice coil and get 1450wrms maybe 1500 watts peak total for for daily......

the prices on orion 1200d has been comeing down and i think it's an option withing the next few months, if my financial shizeit works out

i say go for it. strap em @1ohm and keep the voltage up and u should be good. 20-30 sec burps? it shouldnt be that long, more like 2-3sec burp.

yea dude.

3~5 seconds long PER burp at the most. should only take 3~4 burps to place a score. you only got like, what 20 seconds in the lanes?

i said 2-30 secs caus ei now i'll wanna hear it boom for more than just a couple secconds while i havem hooked up IF i dropp another 280 or 300 for another orion 1200d.

now that i think of it might as well just sell my 1200d and get a used 2500d

OR

just be happy with what i got, it goes get mad loud with this amp...

though a nice 2000wrms amp would be nice.......
