should be fine worst case u loose some power from voltage drop over the higher then optimal guage wire, its done all the time

I'm going to have to do this with my infiniti. The wires are wired in a manner that makes them extremely hard to work with, at least, with my equipment and experience, so I'm going to have to tap them from the factory amplifiers in the back. It'll be a longer run than I'd like of 18g, but I'm not running much power through them, no more than 20 RMS most likely.

im going to add onto mine with 16..

should i twist and use electrical tape..

or should i twist and solder them.
