stock speakers and aftermarket system

hey a friend of mine has a 99 jeep grand. and he wants to hook up a aftermarket head unit with a amp and sub and us the stock speakers. he called a shop called tweeter and asked to get a price on install and thay said he can do it with stock speakers because they are amped? idk if its bull or not because woulsnt they just plug into the back of the head unit the same as after market amped speakers? any help thanks

he has the infiniti speakers

uhhh yeah they can still do it... just got to connect the blue wire... that will turn on the amps... or just bypass the amp under the seats... it's not a problem...

Yup, it is not usually a major problem at all. In most of the Infinity systems all that is required is a simple turn on wire attachment in the factory harness to allow the factory amp to run the speakers.
