Im getting a 4 channel alpine amp (MRP-F240) and hooking it up to my Pioneer TS-A6880R's. My friend suggested running the speaker wire from the amp to the original factory speaker wires behind the HU just to make things easier......is this ok or should i go ahead and replace all the speaker wire?

If you don't plan on putting any other high powered speakers or components in there any time soon, just use the stock wiring. If you think you might eventually put a set of components in the front, go ahead and run 2 sets of speaker wire to each side, so that you can mount your crossovers in the back later on.

The rears should be no problem anyway, since they are right by your amp in the trunk.

yeah...my vehicle is a 97 F-150 extended cab....but its only got the 3rd door on the passenger side...and the drivers sire rear panel is a pain to get out...since there isnt a door there...thats the only reason i was trying to avoid it.

Audible? For the most part, no.But it will be audible when your speakers stop working and you wonder why. Then you'll find out you smoked the factory wiring.

Wiring into the doors in most fords = teh easy
