Stock radio amp install?

So I have to run it off my wires designated for my rear speakers (6x9's) and this will split the signal, convert it, and run both rear speakers; including the amp?

Yep, lineout converters can be bought in just about any car stereo shops, I think walmart and bestbuy has them too. Turn the bass on your factory deck to zero or flat then adjust the gain on your subwoofer amp to get the bass level you want.

HOWEVER, since those converters don't provide a remote turn-on lead for your amp you'll have to run a switched 12v wire to turn the amp on and off. You can either tap it from the fusebox, from behind the factory radio or just a wire from an unswitched 12v source then put a simple toggle switch in between.

if you wire the remote turn on to the ignition wire for the head unit, and install a toggle switch, you need to remember the correct order for on/off.

amplifier on last

amplifier off first

this is true for all formats of audio and amplification
