I just bought a used 2000 jetta gls vr6 with a tweeter and a mid/low in each door. The sound system was not working when i bought in thinking it just needed a hu which i planned on replacing anyways. I put in the alpine and still no sound... Im wondering if there is supposed to be a stock amp in that car there are two huge connectors dangling in the trunk where the amp rack would have been had it had the monsoon system... which i know for a fact comes with an amp... Im wondering if my silent system is due to some douche bag stealinv a factory vw amp there are also torn up holes where the rack quite possibly could have been.
