Stock HU ??

I have a stock HU in my 02 Explorer. Can I run an amp from this? Does anyone know the wattage on these? Or should I just upgrade to aftermarket? Planning on keeping the 6x8 pioneer 3 ways in the doors, and adding a single 8" or possibly 10" sub for under the rear seat.

you gotta get a LINE OUT CONVERTER if it doesnt have a set of preouts in order to keep the stock HU.

I'd recommend getting an aftermarket one just so you can get that extra power to your door speakers. It won't be that much more power but it'll be enough

you can use a LINE OUT CONVERTER or you could just buy an amp with speaker level inputs.

both ways would work.

I'd recommend getting an aftermarket deck with sub preamp outputs. you'll get better bass control over your sub.

Ok, if I want the Hu's preamp to power the door speakers, and add an amp to power the sub, I add a line out converter. Am I right in the way I want to run these?
